This an abstract piece based on a really cheesy painting my dad had on the wall for years. It's now ingrained into my head so I had to do my own version! It's a mixture of digital painting, textures and photoshop work.
There are so many elements used in this piece that I don't even know where to begin! There are textures, colors, type, portrait, basic shapes, and so many more elements that it surprises me that they all came together to make such an amazing piece. I don't know how turk1672 does it, but every design done by them blows my mind because all of their designs are coherent, beautiful, and so complex yet simple that it just keeps me wanting to come back for more. This design specifically stood out to me because, like I mentioned before, the many elements pulled together, but specifically the concept and color scheme. I love how the pink has a strong contrast with the blues and grays, which keeps me even more interested in the design. The concept is also mind blowing to me, before writing this critique, I spent a good amount of time trying to figure out what was used for the basic image as well as how on earth it was done! Overall, beautiful design, and very well done, I was surprised I was able to write this critique because the design just leaves me speechless!
Very nice. It certainly looks less cheesy this way. Though, I cant say much since I haven't seen the painting. The colors are gorgeous for one thing, the overlap with the type is also very good. Just enough to have it and still be able to see the words.
The background isn't very distracting either, though, personally. I would have loved to see a cityscape back there. But thats just me. ;D
